I have had the same problems. It is very hard to select the bullet to move the slider.
Also, when you select numeric as a value option, it puts 0.00 in each of the values, preventing you from seeing the text indicating the high and low values. You need to either default the values to blank or make that descriptive text a header above each field.
When you are using numeric values, there should be a way to type in the exact value. I am looking at cars and the range is 0 - 40,000. It is impossible to get it to stop on the right value.
I wonder if people are having problems selecting the bullet to move the slider if we ought to just replace the slider with a direct input.
We'll also check about the label text you mention. Initially, before you enter anything, it is supposed to show the explanatory text, not the 0.0 default values.

Yes, it happens almost every time. I scroll down to a field and try to click it - nothing. I try to move the slider - nothing. Click, click, click - nothing. I think it may be getting into the scrolling mode too easily, because many times the scrollbar on the right shows up when I was trying to click on a slider. Perhaps the box you're clicking on should highlight, indicating you're in it, so it knows not to scroll when you click or drag.
Also, it would be nice to have a feature where you need to select from a number of choices and each gets a distinct value. I realize you could kind of this by setting up several yes/no features, but this would be a choice where you could only select one of the choices, exclusive of all the others. For example, GPS receivers with different chipsets. Each one could have a different value, but you need to select one.
While you're at it, why have a slider for yes/no selections? If you're having a hard time getting the slider to work, sometimes it will move a little off the No setting toward the Yes, but not enough to change the value. That doesn't make sense. There should just be two large buttons, one for No and one for Yes. That would be easier to select and make more sense than a slider.

Some of your suggestions seem very good - like a button in place of a slider to choose between a simple yes and no. The idea about a selection of certain fixed values seems interesting, but more difficult to understand or implement.
At any rate, we are looking at yours and the other suggestions that people have made and will see about what can be reasonably implemented!
Naturally we want users to be happy with the application! And we appreciate some of the positive and constructive reviews that have been posted at the App Store. We would appreciate any helpful ones that members here feel they can post at the App Store as well.
There are some natural UI limitations due to the size of the window and the size of peoples' fingers relative to the UI components, so I'm not sure of the exact timetable for the next upgrade. But we are taking all these under serious consideration one-by-one.
Naturally, we are giving highest priority to something which is not working as well as should be, like a slider not being easy to control when it should be.

New problem: app frequently crashing (3-4x this morning alone). Seems to be when I am rating (on slider) from 0-10 how much of a feature a particular choice has.
Also new, in same function (rating on slider from 0-10 how much of a feature a particular choice has) button on slide bar is sometimes very unresponsive -- can hardly get it to move. Have tried every imaginable maneuver -- tap, tap-tap, tap-slide, slide, slide-hard etc. Taping on button. Tapping on slider per se to see if button will move to that position. Also, once it is in a particular position, very hard to re-adjust. Has happened ~10 times in last two days.
Loupe-edit function: once I have entered the title (top box) in "Edit Feature," I cannot go back and change it except by taking cursor from the very end of the line and backwards-deleting over what I have entered. I should be able to position cursor anywhere in that line of text to edit at that point. Sometimes cursor will move, most of the time it won't. If it moves, sometimes loupe will come up, sometimes it won't. If loupe does come up, it sticks up, magnified, above the line of text, and freezes there. If I am lucky, I quit the app while still in the "Edit Feature" screen. This morning, the app just crashes. Fortunately, no data seems to be lost.

Edit problems in DC
Repeated problems trying to edit previous entries in Features and Items
Magnifying glass does not work at all - on those rare occasion when it has worked, it freezes above the line of text.
On occasion, after freeze, I couldn't get out of Feature screen at all and had to quit program not knowing what data, if any , had been saved.
Have rebooted etc.with no improvement.
Can this be fixed soon?
